1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe (our payment processor) collects your payment information, email address, and billing details. We receive your Stripe customer ID and subscription status but do not store your payment card details.

Information Collected Automatically

The Cruise VS Code extension communicates with our server for two purposes: (1) activating your subscription after checkout, and (2) periodically validating your subscription status. These requests include your Stripe customer ID. We do not collect or transmit your code, prompts, task descriptions, file contents, or any other workspace data.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

• Your source code or file contents
• Task descriptions or prompts you send to Claude Code
• Claude Code output or responses
• Usage analytics or telemetry from the extension
• Device identifiers, IP addresses, or browsing behavior within the extension

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process your subscription and manage billing through Stripe
• Activate and validate your subscription in the VS Code extension
• Provide customer support
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only with:

• Stripe — our payment processor, which handles all billing and payment card data under its own privacy policy
• Cloudflare — our website hosting provider, which may process request metadata (IP addresses, headers) under its own privacy policy
• Law enforcement or legal process — if required by law, subpoena, or court order

4. Data Storage and Security

We do not maintain a user database. Subscription state is stored locally in your VS Code extension (via VS Code's globalState API) and validated against Stripe's API on demand. Payment information is stored and secured by Stripe. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and does not persist user data between requests.

5. Data Retention

Since we do not maintain a user database, we do not retain personal data beyond what Stripe retains for payment processing and what Cloudflare retains for request logs. You can manage your Stripe data through the Stripe billing portal accessible from the extension or from Stripe's invoice emails.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Since we store minimal data, most of these rights are exercised through Stripe directly. For any privacy-related requests, contact us at [email protected] and we will assist you.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

8. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located and our central database is operated.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted at usecruise.ai/privacy with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
